Three Weeks In Japan

October 17 - November 7, 2008

A Brief Itinerary:

October 16 - Depart Minneapolis Thursday, and arrive 12 or so hours later on Friday
October 17 - 26 Tokyo, several days with Makiko guiding/translating for me, and some days on my own
October 21 - will be spent with Ataru & Chiharu Maeda.
October 26 - To Ise to see Masami and a beautiful shrine
October 27 - To Takayama to see a wood netsuke, competitive, exhibition
October 29 - November - 1 Tokyo. Hollis Goodall, from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art joined me for the final nine days of my time in Japan.
November 1 - 4 Nagoya
November 4 - 6 Kyoto
November 6 - To Narita
November 7 - Depart for home

October 20 - A no picture day, though it was a very important day for Makiko and I.

October 21 - Tokyo

October 22 - Kashiwa

October 23 - A no picture day. It rained, and I did not want to carry or use the camera while walking.

October 26 - Ise

October 27 - Ise to Takayama

October 28 & 29 - Takayama to Tokyo

October 30 - 31 - Tokyo

October 31 - Continued: Imperial Palace - Moat and Walls

October 31- Continued: Night in Tokyo - Ikebukuro Area

November 1 - Tokyo to Mishima, on the way to Nagoya

November 2 - Nagoya

November 3 - Nagoya to Kyoto

November 4- Kyoto

November 5 - Kyoto

November 5 - Kyoto / continued

November 6 & 7 - Kyoto to Narita and the USA
