#291 Yellow Water Lily, Netsuke, 1996
The bud of the yellow water lily was carved into a small wheel-thrown clay vessel.
On the underside is carved a tiny insect called the water measurer. The central part
of the flower is carved from satinwood, a small opal was inlaid to resemble a drop of water.
