The inspiration for this theme came from an experience that I had one late spring evening walking near a red oak sentinel tree. A loud, deep sound was heard, so I looked up to try to find the approaching large, old propeller plane that the Army Reserves used when flying between bases (our home is under the general area of their flight path). It was not seen, so I focused closer in and discovered a large number of June Bugs emerging from the leaf litter under the red oak tree. It was the time of the new moon then.
